Hotel La Compañía is in the site where La Compañía de Jesus (Company of Jesus) settled after the destruction of the original Panama City back in 1671. The Jesuit Convent and this was constructed after the foundation of the new Panama City in 1673, the heart and soul of Casco Antiguo.
